As of 2023, MASH oversees over 180 certified sober homes in the state, providing essential oversight and support to ensure these homes meet rigorous safety and ethical standards MASH &#8211; Standards.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The third version of the NARR standards provides more explicit guidance to providers, including metrics for evaluating the peer support components of a residence\u2019s recovery environment.<\/li>\n<li>Matthew and his team at Chelsea\u2019s House continue to sit on multiple recovery court teams that advocate for addicts and alcoholics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Minnesota Association of Sober Living Homes is a Valuable Resource for Recovery Residence Operators<\/h2>\n<p>This statute ensures sober houses maintain a habitable environment for residents. Phil Reason is the owner\/operator of Daily Living Recovery House, LLC and a recent graduate of Boston University\u2019s Master\u2019s in Public Health and Master\u2019s in Social Work programs. His expertise in addiction treatment, public health, and research contributes positively to the mission of MASH. Chapter 165, Section 37 of the Acts of 2014 required the Department of Public Health (DPH) to establish a process for the voluntary certification of alcohol and drug free (ADF) housing. This legislation limits state agencies and their vendors to referring to certified ADF housing. DPH awarded a  contract to the Massachusetts Alliance for Sober Housing (MASH) to be the <a href=\"https:\/\/carlaszabo.com\/but-i-heard-drinking-was-good-for-my-health-bowles\/\">https:\/\/carlaszabo.com\/but-i-heard-drinking-was-good-for-my-health-bowles\/<\/a> certifying body, and the training and technical assistance vendor.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She has a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting from the University of Lowell.<\/li>\n<li>Ideally, eligibility to deliver services includes lived experience recovering from substance use disorders and the ability to reflect recovery principles.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals do not need to have an open case or be on probation to access Recovery Support Navigation services.<\/li>\n<li>Our organization also provides supervision and training for sober homes, and maintains a database of more than 180 MASH-certified sober homes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We believe that structure, support, and community programs are the vessels by which our residents return to the stream of life.<\/li>\n<li>The commissioner of probation shall inform all district and superior court probation officers and the chief justice of the trial court shall inform all district and superior court judges on how to access the list.<\/li>\n<li>\u201dBureau\u201d, the bureau of substance abuse services established in section 18.<\/li>\n<li>Massachusetts General Laws empower state agencies to regulate health and safety standards in residential settings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>He also previously co-owned and  operated two male sober homes in Quincy, and he is currently the owner and operator of BFM Painters and Home Renovators, a commercial and residential paint contracting business in Quincy.
